Upland scrub on forest fringes. Told by black cap, red bill and legs; wings and tail dark brown; breast grey; belly white.

Inland rivers. Small martin; belly white; rest dark brown (a few birds all brown).

Woodland. Large, dark brown eagle with yellow eyes and whitish legs. Distinctive upright stance.

Wooded regions. Small; dark brown above with white outer tail feathers; below white with dusky breast; bill black.

Forest fringes. Dark brown above with white wing-bar; crested head black; throat and breast black in male, finely spotted in female; belly and vent white.

Dry, montane regions. Small eagle. Above dark brown; below dark brown, buff or white; cere and feet pale yellow.

Wetlands and farmlands. Dark brown above; buff throat edged black; buff breast; white belly and rump; underwings show all black.

Dry thorn scrub. Dark brown above; eyebrow to vent white with broad black breast-band; yellow below in winter.

Woodland thickets. Dark brown above, buffy below and well barred brown; has dark breast in summer
