Habitat: Wetlands

Mountain streams. Very long tail; below white with a narrow black breast-band.

Wetlands. Above sandy-brown with white feather edges and back; below white, slender black bill; long yellow-green legs.

Vleis and marshes. Dark brown above (with small ‘ear’ tufts); pale buff below; wings show chestnut in flight.

Wetlands. Bright blue bill on black head; body chestnut.

Wetland marshes and flooded areas. Red bill and legs; black-and-white head and breast; white wings in flight.

Wetlands. Small shorebird. Non-breeding plumage sandy-brown above; feathers edged white; below white; short black bill and black legs

Wetlands. Small waterbird; dark brown above, pale below; when breeding plumage has chestnut face and neck, and creamy spot at base of bill.

Dense vegetation over water. Dark brown above with rounded tail; noticeable eye-stripe; faint markings on upper breast.
