Common in towns. Fork-tailed with white crescent shape on lower back. Fast flyer.

Bridges, towers. Cap brownish; rump orange; rest of upperparts dull metallic blue; breast orange dappled dark blue; belly white; vent orange.

Estuaries. Small martin; above dark brown; below white with narrow brown chest-band; tail with shallow fork.

Cliffs. Dark brown, broad-winged; paler below; tail square with white ‘windows’.

Woodland. Above metallic blue; throat, upper breast and underwings white; rest of underbody deep orange.

Common in towns. Nesting under bridges. Square tail. Large white patch on rump visible from side. Quite noisy “chittering” in flight.
