
Inland and coastal waters. Upperwings and tail dark brown; wing feathers edged black.

Namibian woodland. Dark violet-blue and black plumage; black bill and legs.

Bushveld. Three almost identical species when breeding. When breeding, a variation between a whitish bill and reddish leg colours distinguish the species.(1) Red bill red leg; (2) whitish bill white leg; (3) Whiteish bill red leg.

Slow walking terrestrial. Large black hornbill with red facial and neck skin. White in wings when flying.

Okavango. Lagoons and backwaters. Told by yellow legs and feet plus tawny throat.

Broad-leaved & Riverine woodland. Red eye-wattle, bill and legs; white vent and tail tips.
