Riverine bush. Yellow throat separated from rufous underparts by a V-shaped black band on upper breast.

Dry grasslands. Two narrow black breast-bands on white underparts.

Dry plains. Above light brown; sides of head and below white with dusky breast-band (non-breeding) or broad chestnut breast-band (breeding).

Wetlands and gardens. Greyish wagtail with white throat and upper breast; black breast-band.

Forest fringes. Male has a broad black breast-band and rufous flanks. Female has rufous throat, flanks and breast-band.

Woodland. Light brown above and on upper breast; dark mask; eyebrows, throat and underparts white; eye-rings and legs red.

Riverine and coastal thickets. Female all black breast, male has narrow black breast band on white under feathers. Red eye-wattle.

Aerial. Above metallic blue; forehead and chin orange; throat black; below white. Forked tail.

Inland waters. Large martin; above dark brown; below white with wide brown chest-band; small white eyebrow, square tail.
