Species Status: LC

Wetlands. Very dark small heron; rich rufous below and on wings. Bill and legs normally yellow.

Coastal bush. Grey cap; olive-green back and tail; white below with black chest-band.

Shorelines. Chestnut above with black and white about head, neck and breast; white below.

Urban. Apple-green parrot with long tail, red bill and pale eyes.

Rocky gorges. Rose-red head with pale bill; green body and wings; blue back.

Cliffs. Dark brown, broad-winged; paler below; tail square with white ‘windows’.

Rocky and bushy hillsides. Heavily streaked head and mantle; white throat and breast; rufous back, belly and vent.

Urban. Many individuals of this variable pigeon have glossy-green neck feathers.

Hills and grasslands. Grey head; rufous upperwings and underparts; upper tail grey; well-barred in female, single bar in male.

Broad-leaved & Riverine woodland. Red eye-wattle, bill and legs; white vent and tail tips.
