Woodland thickets. Grey, darker above with red eyes, rump and upper tail-base

Thorn thickets. Yellow-green mantle and wings; red bill (red forehead and throat in male); red rump and upper tail; banded underparts.

Forest fringes. Male and female have green upper parts with white spotted underparts.

Woodland. Speckled bird with broad red throat-band; white bill.

Wetlands. Red mask, bill and central belly; brown-barred below.

Grass and scrub. Only head and breast black; underparts white; dull brown above.
