Description

Uncommon resident. Similar to [Cinderella Waxbill] but darker grey with a black bill; no red on the flanks. Ranges mutually exclusive, and confusion highly unlikely. Call is a thin ‘pseeu, pseeu’. An inconspicuous species of woodland and forest edges where thick bush tangles with tall grass. Usually in pairs, which seldom venture far from dense cover.
