Description

Common endemic resident. Pale blueish bill offset by black face and throat diagnostic; a small, pallid, highly gregarious weaver. Sexes are alike; immature similar. Groups utter an excitable twittering at nesting sites. Flocks occur in the vicinity of their communal nests in dry western regions. The huge nests are placed in a large tree, frequently a thorn, and accommodate many pairs of birds for both breeding and roosting, as well as other species such as [Pygmy Falcon], [Acacia Pied Barbet] , [Red-headed Finch] , [Rosy-faced Lovebird] and [Ashy Tit].
