Description
Common to abundantnear-endemic resident. Breeding adult told by entirely glossy green-black plumage, head without crest and base of bill orange-yellow. Non-breeding adult and immaturedusky brown; paler on belly. Occurs singly or inflocksin coastal waters, roosting on offshore islands. Groups habitually fly in long lines over the sea and feed in flocks.

Bird Family
Waterbirds with webbed feet, long necks and hooked bills. They hunt for fish and frogs under water, surfacing to swallow prey.
