Description
Common endemic resident. Differs from [Dark-capped Bulbul] and [African Red-eyed Bulbul] in white eye-ring and browner appearance of head. Has similar cheerful calls, including a liquid ‘piet-piet-patata’. A lively, conspicuous species frequenting scrub, wooded watercourses and exotic coastal bush in the western and southern Cape.
