Description

Very common, near-endemic resident. Differs from [Dark-capped Bulbul] mainly in red eye-ring. Has a variety of cheerful, chattering calls similar to (Dark-capped Bulbul; very alike in most other ways. Frequents drier western regions, usually associating with human habitation and bush along watercourses. Occasionally hybridises with [Dark-capped Bulbul] and [Cape Bulbul], with the offspring showing characteristics intermediate between these species.
