Description

Common, near-endemic resident. Told from [Red-winged Starling] by orange eyes and whitish wing-feathers tinged orange only on the leading edge. Wing may look red when folded, but the outer half of the wing appears entirely pale in flight; cf. [Red-billed Buffalo-Weaver]. Has similar melodious whistles to [Red-winged Starling]. Flocks occur in rocky localities in arid regions in the west and southwest.

Bird Family
