Turdoides hartlaubii
Riverine woodland. Upperparts and breast dark brown; all feathers fringed white; rump, belly and vent white; eyes yellow with red eye-rings.

Description
Common, localised resident. Differs from [Arrow-marked Babbler] mainly in diagnostic white rump, the head and breast with all feathers pale-edged, giving a scaly appearance; underbelly and vent also white. Immature has a paler throat. The call is a noisy, high-pitched babbling ‘kwekwekwekwekwekwekwe…’ similar to [Black-faced Babbler]. Parties occur in riverine woodland, and reed beds and papyrus beds on floodplains of the Zambezi–Okavango–Kunene River system.
