Description

Common resident. In non-breeding plumage, some races have a white to deep cream-buff upper breast, not grey. Differs from [Green-backed Camaroptera] in grey (not olive-green) upper parts; immature does have green upper parts. Voice as [Green-backed Camaroptera]. Occurs singly or in pairs in dry thickets in thornveld, woodland and especially bush-covered termitaria. Shortish tail often held cocked. Replaces the previous species in northern and western localities.
