Description
Fairly common, localised endemic resident. Blackish tail and cinnamon forehead, breast and tail coverts diagnostic. The call is a long, plaintive whistle ‘eeeeeeee…’, lasting about one and a half seconds, like a person whistling to attract someone’s attention. Found on rock and bush-strewn hills in arid regions. Hops about rocks with great agility, tail usually raised. Secretive and easily overlooked.

Bird Family
