Description
Uncommon, localised summer resident. Breeding male unmistakable; female and non-breeding male best identified by grey bill and brownish (not greenish) coloration. Call is a swizzling sound like [Cape Weaver]. Usually occurs in flocks, females outnumbering males while breeding. Frequents thornveld in the arid northwestern regions of Namibia and Botswana.
