Description
Fairly common near-endemic resident. Adult resembles immature of [Southern Pied Babbler] except for bare black skin under eye. Differs from adult of [Southern Pied Babbler] in this and in being less white, upper parts and sides of neck brown or cinnamon. Groups utter a typical babbler cackling, a high-pitched ‘kurrkurrkurrkurrkurr…’. Found in arid mopane woodland in northwestern Namibia, frequenting dry watercourses and hillsides with trees.
