Description

Fairly common resident. Resembles [Mountain Wheatear] but male has a white cap (not grey); female has a white throat. Utters a shrill song containing a musical ‘feeee’ ascending and descending in pitch. Pairs or small parties occur beneath trees, hopping about on the trunks and on the ground. Only in broad-leaved woodland with well-developed trees in flat country, especially mopane woodland.
