Description

Uncommon summer resident. Male is the yellowest of all orioles with a distinct black line through the eye to the ear coverts, this line also being present in immature. Female less bright than male, upper parts greener, underparts paler. The calls are liquid whistles ‘wee-er-er-wul’ or ‘fee-yoo-fee-yoo-fee-yoo’, longer than the calls of [Black-headed Oriole]. Occurs in any well-developed woodland or riverine forest.
