HABITAT
Common in the Karoo and very common in highveld regions, where it frequents parks and gardens. Males display with drooping wings and splayed tail dragging on the ground.
SPECIES DESCRIPTION
Common endemic resident. Previously regarded as a race of Olive Thrush, but is much duller. Throat-spotting absent or vestigial, underparts drab grey-brown (with only under-belly orange), vent greyish (occasionally white); bill and legs orange-yellow, and eye-ring orange (not brown).
