Description

Fairly common, localised resident. Identified by wedge-shaped tail. General coloration like [Cape Starling] but has black ear-patch, blue flanks and red (male) or orange (female) eyes. Immature has grey underparts, the feathers tipped buff. Calls ‘wirri wirri’ in flight. Occurs in deciduous woodland of the northeast.
