Description

Uncommon, localised resident. Told by dark bill, rich orange throat, breast and flanks and bold white wing-bars. Immature has darker mottled underparts. Sings mostly at dawn and at last light, a variety of whistled phrases with clear notes and complicated trills. Occurs singly or in pairs in mist-belt evergreen forests. Seldom seen; secretive.
