Description

Fairly common endemic resident. Closely similar to [Karoo Prinia] in all ways except coloration, its underparts being a rich saffron-yellow while its upper breast is only lightly spotted. Its call is identical to that of [Karoo Prinia]. Occurs in small family groups in rank growth in vleis, matted river scrub and forest-edge thickets northwards along the Drakensberg escarpment from about East London to the Soutpansberg. Shares its habitat with [Tawny-flanked Prinia].
