Description

Fairly common, localised resident. Differs from [Groundscraper Thrush] in bold white wing-spots. Has a clear, flute-like song, the accent always on the first syllable ‘TCHEEooo-che-chichoo, TREEoo-tretrree…’. Found singly or in pairs in the lower stratum of evergreen forest of the eastern seaboard; a winter visitor to upland KwaZulu-Natal forests.
