Upland forest fringes. Similar to Southern Double-collared Sunbird (below), but bill longer than head.

Dry woodland and scrub. Above and breast black with coppery iridescence; belly white.

Riverine forests. Glossy-green upperparts, head and upper breast; rest of underparts yellow. Female has entirely yellow underparts.

Woodland. Has an iridescent purple throat and shoulder-patches.
