SPECIES DESCRIPTION
Fairly common intra-African *summer visitor* in western regions, uncommon in the east. Distinguished from  Yellow-billed Kite  with difficulty. Mature adult differs in pale eyes, greyish head, black bill (only the cere is yellow) and less deeply forked tail, which appears square when fanned, like immature of  Yellow-billed Kite . *Immature* is paler below with brown blotches.
